When first describing Roobiq, we tend to focus on the major features such as the integrated activity timeline, mapping or workflow capabilities. However, lurking beneath these are several features that can improve your productivity but aren't as well known. Here are a few:
- Swipe Actions: Every item in your activity timeline has associated swipe gestures with it. Tasks make the most use out of these by allowing you to swipe left on an item and to quickly mark it complete or to delete it. This will move the item off the timeline and correspondingly update Salesforce with the change.
Events follow-ups by default don't allow for marking done because you must at least log notes from the meeting. However, you can swipe left and trash the follow-up if there is no need to log any information from it.
Finally, both tasks and events can be swiped to the right and "snoozed." Snoozing moves the item off of your timeline, only to return at the specified time of your choosing. This can be incredibly powerful by allowing you to focus on only the stuff that is important right now (hence why we call the main timeline "Now"). Tasks get the added benefit that the snooze time is used to update the due date in Salesforce.
- Time Settings Customizations: Roobiq comes setup with default settings for time related functions but these can be tweaked to match your sales process.
The first allows you to adjust the start of your work day or weekend, which are used by the task reminders to notify you on the day the task is due. Second, the end of the workday setting allows you to choose when you should get an event follow-up notification for all-day events. Third, you can adjust what the snooze setting: "Later Today" means, which gives you the ability to quickly push an item back a couple hours. Finally, you can adjust the automatic pre-fill for new event durations; the default is 60 minutes.
- BCC To Salesforce Email: While you are in the settings, be sure to note the BCC or Email To Salesforce setting. This text box allows you to type or paste in the generated email address provided by Salesforce that saves your emails you send as completed tasks. We love this lesser known feature of Salesforce, but find it difficult to always remember to add this email as a BCC recipient to every email we want to log. As a result, we created this setting so you could save this email in Roobiq and then whenever you use the app to send an email , the address will be added to the BCC of the message automatically
If you haven't setup or don't know your BCC email address, following these instructions from Salesforce (note: it's frustrating but Salesforce doesn't offer a mobile option to retrieve the address for you, so we recommend loading Salesforce's desktop site on your mobile device or email/text the address to yourself, and then copy and past the address into Roobiq):

We will follow up with more posts on more lesser known features in forthcoming posts, but until then give these features a try. As always, we want to know what you think, so let us know your thoughts below or reach out directly.
